The walk features 15 sites of historic significance in and around the city, and which made Charlotte famous as a “hornet’s nest” of rebellion during the Revolutionary War. Buzzard Walk Trail

There is nothing better to do on the weekend than to enjoy some unspoiled nature, which is what you’ll find at the Buzzard Walk Trail. The trail is only about 1/3 of a mile long but it is almost completely shaded throughout and offers lots of stunning scenery and picnic areas. If you want to take out your boat or canoe or spend some time on a beach, check out Blythe Landing! This 24-acre park features a boat launch, dock for fishing, sand volleyball courts, and more.
